Roger

As a fan of Roger Federer I was very pleased to watch him defeat Rafa this past weekend. As a rivalry, the past couple of years was looking like a domination. Roger was used to having the mental edge over every other player in the world. He lost occasionally, but his opponents always had to overcome both a physical and mental barrier to stand a chance. With Rafa, the table has been turned against Roger. I believe Roger struggled so against Rafa because of his relative inexperience in dealing with winning without confidence. Roger may not win the French, but I believe that his losses over the past year or so will help him to find new ways to win matches. Then there is marriage and fatherhood issues that could affect his focus and ruin my hopes of a return of his dominance. We will see.
You can say what you want about Rafa’s absence in the finals of the French, as far as I am concerned Roger is the greatest player of all time.
